Hi there….I’m Melissa! I am a mother, a wife, a paralegal, pastry chef and a blogger rolled into one.
I am mother and a wife with a beautiful blended family. I married my wonderful husband, Dan, in my mid to late 40’s. We each came to the table with kids of our own and enjoy the blended home we share. Our combined five children include a daughter who is in the Army, a son who is a handsome Firefighter, a son who is heavily involved with the Deaf Community as he himself is hearing impaired, our hippie-chick daughter/soon to be new mommy, and an artful 12 year old still living at home.
I have been working in the legal field as a paralegal for the past 28 years. In my spare time, I managed to go to culinary school earning a degree in Food & Beverage Management and another in International Baking and Pastry. I have been creating custom cakes for the past 18 years. In the balance of my spare time that I’ve managed to carve out of my crazy schedule, I enjoy adventures with my family such as boating, fishing and RV’ing. I guess I just like staying busy and love sharing our experiences along the way.
So, I bet you’re asking how I got into blogging….
Well, one late night I had a hard time staying asleep….so I started puttering around the internet. I don’t know what caught my eye about blogging but it planted a seed that kept growing in my brain.
<—– Me, literally at night sometimes, LOL!
I admittedly have had many a sleepless night because my brain doesn’t want to shut off sometimes. I honestly find that the wee hours of the night, when the house is quiet and I am most relaxed, some of my best ideas, inspiration and thoughts come to me. Of course I dismiss some of my madness and overly zealous projects I think I want to conquer, but the thought of blogging really stuck in my brain.
What I started to learn in my searching around the internet was that you can actually make money blogging! WHAT!? Yep, for real…it can be a full time job if you want it to be or it can just be your side gig. Either way, you can make some serious coin at it too! It’s like a win-win if you are passionate about your niche. Blogging, for me, has become a therapeutic outlet as well because it helps relax my mind.
Let me help the inner blogger in YOU!
