Watch closely as two Jeeps pass each other on the road and you’ll see the infamous Jeep Wave take place. Yes, it’s a thing, LOL! When I bought my first Jeep I kept wondering why people kept waving at me and then I caught on. It’s like we’re family. We love parking next to other Jeeps, driving in formation on the highways and stopping to chat with other Jeep owners to check out what mods they’ve done on their ride.
As Jeep owner, I know first hand how enthusiastic the Jeep community can be. Buying a Jeep after all is only the beginning. Many of us buy a stock Jeep after which the true fun begins. There are so many accessories and modifications you can do to dress up your Jeep from tires, rims, lift kits, interiors, lights and more, it’s really endless. I call it a Grown-up’s Toy because what you can do to pimp your ride is truly endless. You almost need a savings account just for your Jeep. And yes, we even name our Jeeps.
In addition to the fun of being an owner, you can also find many Jeep Clubs in your area and online. Events are always happening such as Jeep runs and back-country trail rides with other members.
Living in Florida has its advantages including exciting outdoor events that are great fun for the whole family. Every April, one of our favorite events happens, JEEP BEACH in Dayton Beach, Florida.
Literally one of THE Largest Jeep ONLY events in the U.S., this is a must attend event for Jeep owners. I have never in my life seen so many Jeeps as I did when we attended Jeep Beach 2018. It was like a sea of Jeeps lined up for miles down the streets and highways leading into Daytona!
This is the one time of year where Jeep owners converge on Daytona Beach at the Daytona International Speedway and enter into an arena filled with activities, food and vendors selling all types of accessories and upgrades for your Jeep.
As I said, this is a Jeep only event. If you are arriving in anything other than a Jeep, you have a separate designated area to park in. Only Jeeps are permitted into the speedway area to park in the center of the event.
Activities include an obstacle course runs through the man-made terrain of hills, kick-off and tiki parties, silent auctions, off-site trail rides, raffles and our favorite Beachside Mainstreet Party!
If you are a Jeep lover, this is one event you do not want to miss.
There are plenty of hotels in the area of Daytona Beach. However, if you have an RV there is an entire section where you can camp. There’s plenty of room for RV’s including motorhomes, travel trailers, fifth-wheels and they also permit tents. The website for Jeep Beach at the following link: https://www.jeepbeach.com/hotels-camping/ Here you can find information on local hotels and they also provide rates for the on-site camping area.
This year’s Jeep Beach event runs April 22, 2019 through April 28, 2019.
